10. Project Outcomes \/ Objectives<\/td>\n1. Restore degraded and disaster-prone forest landscapes by increasing the plantation and survival of indigenous and multipurpose tree species suitable to the local climate.<\/p>\n

2. Enhance climate awareness and resilience among children and communities through child-led campaigns and climate education in schools and communities, enabling them to understand climate change causes, impacts, and adaptation measures.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n\u2022 Construction of plastic water ponds and irrigation support.

13. Major Results \/ Key Achievements<\/td>\nCommunity Forest Nurseries: Established and strengthened 2 community forest nurseries with 22 types of nursery equipment and materials. More than 25,000 healthy, high-quality seedlings were produced, including indigenous and multipurpose species.<\/p>\n

Forest Restoration and Plantation: Children and youth supported restoration of 12.87 hectares of degraded and landslide-prone land across six CFUGs. Across the first and second years, approximately 42 hectares of community forest land have been restored using around 67,000 seedlings, with a survival rate of more than 65%.<\/p>\n

Climate Education: Conducted a two-day ToT Refresher for teachers and CFUG representatives. A total of 192 Climate Change REFLECT sessions were conducted across 12 learning centres, directly benefiting 300 participants. An impact survey found that 79.74% of REFLECT participants demonstrated increased knowledge and awareness of local climate change and environmental issues.<\/p>\n

Child-led Climate Campaigns and Advocacy: Conducted child-led policy dialogues and advocacy in two wards of Chhedagad Municipality. CFUGs and local stakeholders committed NPR 35,000 to the Ward Child Fund. Children also led plantation campaigns, waste segregation and solid waste management activities, forest fire awareness campaigns, World Environment Day celebrations, community rallies, and environmental sanitation initiatives.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
