Key / Major Activities | • Entrepreneurship development training and business plan development. • Technical and vocational training based on livelihood needs and market opportunities. • Enterprise subsidy support based on approved business plans. • Promotion of seasonal and off-seasonal vegetable production using climate-smart technologies, including polyhouses. • Model farming initiatives including banana, vegetables, spices, citrus/lemon, and other suitable crops. • Livestock rearing support, including goats/bucks, pigs, and poultry. • Poultry support to marginalized farmers for meat and egg production. • Inclusive Climate-Friendly Farmer Field School (ICFFS) and post-FFS support. • Multipurpose cash support to eligible project participants based on assessed needs and referrals/recommendations. • Support to local governments for development and strengthening of disability-inclusive (DI) policies and mechanisms. |
| 13. Key Results / Major Accomplishments | • 80 persons with disabilities received entrepreneurship development training and business plan development support based on recommendations from local government. • 17 youth from earthquake-affected and disability-affected households received technical/vocational training in selected trades based on assessed needs. • 88 persons with disabilities and earthquake-affected households received enterprise subsidy support based on their business plans. • 100 households received polyhouse support for seasonal and off-seasonal vegetable production using climate-smart technology. • 42 participants, including persons with disabilities and earthquake-affected households, received support for model farming initiatives such as banana, vegetables, spices, and citrus/lemon production. • 80 households received livestock rearing support, including goats/bucks, pigs, and poultry. • 6 households of persons with disabilities received poultry support for meat and egg production. • Climate-smart technology and ICFFS sessions were provided to 5 farmer groups, while post-FFS support was provided to 3 ICFFS groups. • Multipurpose cash support was provided to eligible project participants based on assessed needs and referrals/recommendations from consortium partners CMC Nepal and ASSJ. • Support was provided to local government for the development of disability-inclusive policy and related materials, including MASHION training materials/manuals and ICFFS resources. • The consortium approach leveraged the complementary expertise of PTYSM, CMC Nepal, and ASSJ, enabling coordinated and effective implementation. • ASSJ, as an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD), strengthened disability inclusion, while CMC Nepal contributed technical expertise to resilient and inclusive livelihood interventions. |
